Key Responsibilities
- Lead, review, and approve subframe structure designs to meet component ES and vehicle requirements
- Resolve durability, assembly, and functional issues
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to peer engineers through knowledge-sharing forums
- Drive material cost reduction, warranty reduction, and benchmarking activities
- Ensure robust design delivery aligned with vehicle attributes including package, crash, durability, commercial upfitting, and thermal management
- Apply engineering disciplines such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Perfect Drawing Plan, and Engineering Specifications
- Provide design leadership for forward model development, release, and launch support
- Experience in Design and Release Engineering for subframes and tow hooks
- Experience in forward model development, release, and launch support
- Strong focus on robust design and failure mode avoidance
- Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, drawing standards, and engineering specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in frames or structures Design and Release
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and lead technical activities
