Overview
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality performance, manufacturing feasibility assessments, and product launch readiness. The role involves driving supplier quality initiatives, resolving production issues, and ensuring compliance with quality planning and approval processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement commodity-specific business plans to support supplier performance in launch, quality, capacity, warranty, and delivery metrics.
- Lead cross-functional discussions with supplier leadership to resolve open issues and drive corrective actions.
- Implement actions to prevent supplier-related production losses.
- Lead on-site troubleshooting activities and corrective actions for supplier-related issues.
- Support adherence to established quality standards and processes.
- Assess and validate manufacturing feasibility at supplier facilities.
- Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Execute the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
- Utilize available data, metrics, and business plans to support sourcing and quality improvement decisions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Quality Management principles and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with PPAP processes.
- Experience with APQP processes.
