Job Description
PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Supervisor is responsible for the achievement of daily production program with the highest level of Safety, Quality, Costs and Environment. Supervisor is also responsible for driving continuous improvement activities and ensures the highest skills development for his/her team members/team leaders. Supervisor must maintain a good social climate and develop the autonomy of the team. Supervisor must also be knowledgeable of the broader manufacturing organization and mobilize support groups and resources when needed. He/she is also responsible to lead and assist in problem solving in his/her area of responsibility.
Critical Behaviors: The Supervisor must possess the characteristics of a self-starter and continually demonstrate motivation to autonomously learn, develop and lead. Essential skills for a successful Supervisor include problem solving, active listening skills, critical thinking, effective leadership, and managerial skills. Supervisor is responsible for the achievement of daily production program with the highest level of Safety, Quality, Costs and Environment. Supervisor is also responsible for driving continuous improvement activities and ensures the highest skills development for his/her team members/team leaders. The Operations Supervisor will direct the driver workforce to meet the daily demands received from the plants and suppliers. The Operations Supervisor will communicate and handle issues that occur outside the normal scope of business, including delays and breakdowns. Responsibilities include but not limited to the above and the utilization of multiple systems; constant contact with Management to ensure proper and timely material flow; communications with necessary parties/medical regarding employees' injuries/safety matters; Contact incident Commander and Security of spills and other environmental issues; and publish shift notes for proper hand off with results and instructions for next shift.
