Key Responsibilities
- Define and develop new vehicle features and system architectures.
- Translate customer and business needs into engineering and functional requirements.
- Develop logical system architectures for software implementation.
- Create engineering documentation including:
- System Boundary Diagrams
- Functional Block Diagrams
- DFMEAs
- Verification plans
- Requirements traceability
- Develop feature and functional specifications for software implementation.
- Create and interpret network topologies, wiring schematics, and power distribution architectures.
- Derive verification test cases from engineering requirements.
- Perform Functional Safety and Cybersecurity impact assessments related to design changes.
- Support feature development from concept through production launch.
- Lead technical trade-off discussions across software, electrical, mechanical, vehicle integration, and supplier teams.
- Drive engineering decisions that support product and system design.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of Automotive Systems Engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Software Engineering experience supporting complex embedded systems.
- Strong understanding and practical application of the Systems Engineering V-Model.
- Experience defining vehicle features and system architectures.
- Experience writing engineering, functional, and implementation requirements.
- Experience creating DFMEAs, System Boundary Diagrams, verification plans, and engineering quality documentation.
- Experience developing vehicle features from concept through production.
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including networking, wiring, power distribution, body systems, chassis systems, and CAN communication.
- Experience collaborating across multiple engineering organizations to resolve complex technical issues.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5 years of Automotive Systems Engineering experience.
- Experience leading complete feature development throughout the product lifecycle.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience performing Functional Safety and Cybersecurity assessments.
- Experience supporting software implementation through detailed functional specifications.
- Electrical D&R experience.
- Strong systems thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and technical trade-off discussions.
- Experience progressing customer use cases through architecture, design, development, testing, and production integration.
