SUMMARY/SCOPE:
The Department of Engineering at
Hardin-Simmons University invites applications for a part-time summer student
worker. We seek a driven and collegial student worker committed to transferring
classroom knowledge to hands-on work experience with laboratory equipment.
Preferred applicants should have
completed the following engineering courses: ENGR 1301 Introduction to
Engineering and ENGR 2301 Statics. Preferred applicants should be skilled with
software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Applicants with experience in
technical writing are preferred, but not required.
The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Student workers are expected to adhere to laboratory safety procedures, conduct laboratory experiments, and demonstrate both cooperation and collaboration with colleagues to support the missions of the Engineering Department and Hardin-Simmons University.
