Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our team in a nurturing environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a clean and sanitary manner, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the planning of menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents while considering their preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper sanitation of cooking equipment and utensils.
- Help with bussing tables and serving meals to residents as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure dietary restrictions are met for each resident.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Qualifications
- Experience in a dietary department or food service setting, preferably within a nursing home environment.
- Knowledge of dietetics and nutritional guidelines is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and sanitation practices.
