The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial construction (Pharma/Healthcare/Higher Ed) estimating, project management, and cost control. This role is crucial for ensuring that our projects are accurately estimated and managed from inception to completion, allowing us to maintain our commitment to quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for estimating and project management tasks.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Review contracts and ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid packages and presenting estimates to clients.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
Skills
- Proficient in construction estimating software, particularly Bluebeam.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
