Junior Automotive Assembly Mechanic

Location: Livonia, MI | Shift: 1st

Step into a hands‑on role where you help assemble low‑volume, high‑tech vehicles inside our Contract Manufacturing Operation in Livonia. You’ll support programs for advanced automotive customers—ranging from off‑road tactical military platforms to autonomous/self‑driving and electric vehicles—while learning new technology in a fast‑moving environment. • Follow written build procedures to assemble vehicle systems and components.
• Use manual and power tools safely while maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Apply mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot issues and keep work moving.

• 1 year of recent, hands‑on assembly experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems.
• Mechanically inclined; able to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with problem‑solving ability.
• Organized with strong attention to detail.
• Able to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures.
• Self‑starter who is motivated and eager to learn.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent attendance; willing to work overtime/weekends as needed.

• Previous automotive mechanic or co‑op experience.
• Experience with automotive electrical systems.
• Bringing a basic personal set of mechanic tools.
