They troubleshoot mechanical systems, conduct preventive maintenance, and perform tasks such as piping and equipment replacement. Tracking and documentation of maintenance activities is required. Required
• High school diploma or GED
Experience
Required
• General maintenance experience to include preventative and corrective maintenance, minor plumbing, painting, and/or construction
Desired
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers, and backhoes
• Experience in welding, fabrication, pipe fitting and/or other applicable trades.
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
• Valid driver's license from state of residence
• For Small Communities Division (SCD) positions only: Class A Commercial Driver's License with N (Tank Vehicle) endorsement to be obtained within 24 months of appointment
• Ability to obtain and maintain Federal and Virginia Port Authority Transportation Workers Identification Credential for staff required to access the Army Base Treatment Plant
