HRN Construction & Restoration is now hiring a qualified and experienced full-time accountant to join our award winning team!
We are now hiring a full-time accountant to assist with monthly accounting and bookkeeping duties with a focus on Accounts Receivables and Collections. Candidate must possess an accounting background, experience with QuickBooks and an understanding of Microsoft Office programs. Candidate must also be willing to work in a team environment and have excellent customer service skills. This position will include, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining accounts receivable ledger, including billing and collecting on open accounts.
- Responsible for making initial and follow-up calls to insurance carriers and lien holders to expedite the collection process.
- Responsible for working hand in hand with the HRN Production Team to maintain timely draws on all projects.
- Responsible for daily monitoring of the accounts receivable ledger to ensure prompt collections. * Assisting the Office Manager with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation including completing various subsidiary ledgers and schedules.
- Assist with various data entry into the accounting system, subsidiary ledgers, and various schedules.
- Assist with non-accounting administrative and office tasks as needed.
- Assist in monitoring client files for proper documentation and accuracy.
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
- Candidate possesses strong interpersonal and team skills
- 2 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Experience with QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
The following traits are strongly preferred by not required:
- Candidate possesses a degree in accounting or related field.
- Candidate has direct experience with construction accounting.
- Candidate has experience working as an accounts receivable clerk.
- Candidate has experience working for a restoration contractor.
