Job Summary
We are seeking two Entry-Level HR Generalists who are fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Our client is a growing manufacturing company in NY. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with foundational HR experience or recent graduates with HR or Business Administration degrees who want to build a well-rounded HR career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support employee relations with union manufacturing employees (bilingual communication required)
- Assist with payroll and timesheet reviews
- Support onboarding, orientations, and new-hire paperwork (I-9, W-4, IDs, background checks)
- Help administer benefits, leaves of absence, Workers Comp, FMLA, etc.
- Work collaboratively with HR team members and cross-train in multiple HR functions
- Coordinate with staffing agencies as needed
- Maintain accurate employee documentation and HR records
Qualifications
Fully bilingual in English & Spanish (spoken, written, and read) — required Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (with HR coursework) OR foundational HR experience in a fast-paced environment
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Payroll
- Onboarding & orientation
- Benefits administration
- Leaves of absence
- Employee relations
- Experience in manufacturing environments or high-volume hiring is strongly preferred
- Energetic, positive attitude with strong multitasking skills

Responsibilities
- Support talent acquisition efforts by assisting with recruiting processes, including sourcing candidates through various channels such as social media management and HRIS systems like Workday or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and facilitate onboarding procedures to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
- Assist in employee evaluation processes, performance management, and training & development initiatives to promote continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate HR data entry and records within systems such as Oracle HCM, UltiPro, or ADP; ensure data collection is precise and compliant with company policies.
- Support benefits administration activities, including enrollment, inquiries related to workers' compensation, and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Aid in employee relations by addressing routine inquiries, managing conflict resolution processes, and supporting affirmative action planning.
- Contribute to project management tasks related to organization design, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
- Help ensure compliance with employment & labor law regulations by reviewing contracts and assisting with audits.
- Collaborate across departments to improve workforce management strategies using tools like Kronos or Paychex.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on HR sourcing metrics, workforce analytics, and other data-driven insights.
Experience
- Prior experience or internship in human resources or administrative roles is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with HR management systems such as Workday, Taleo, Paylocity, or iCIMS will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of employment law regulations including FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), OSHA standards, and workers' compensation procedures.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and organizational design concepts.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish; ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data collection, record keeping, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally while demonstrating effective conflict management skills.
