Job Summary

The Buyer / Supply Chain Assistant will support day-to-day purchasing, logistics, and inventory operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with vendors, shipments, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with purchasing activities including vendor communication, pricing, and order placement
  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs) and track order confirmations
  • Follow up with suppliers on production timelines, shipment status, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and transportation providers
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and spreadsheets
  • Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and updating records
  • Prepare and organize documents such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping paperwork
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
  • Assist management with administrative and operational tasks as needed
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and on time

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication
  • Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

  • Vendor communication and negotiation experience
  • Knowledge of logistics, freight forwarding, and shipping documentation
  • Inventory planning and stock control experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
