HR Co-op (Hybrid role 16-20 hours/week)

Join America’s Favorite Neighborhood Pet Store for a pawsome HR co-op opportunity! We're seeking a Human Resources co-op to gain hands-on experience at our Livonia, MI headquarters. This opportunity will allow you to gain real-world HR experience, network with industry professionals, and help support the team members who make our stores pawsitively amazing!

Key Focus Areas:

Reporting to the Director of HR Services and Talent Acquisition Lead, you will support the Talent Acquisition team with store hiring including:

• Executing tactics with job boards, social media, industry groups, community services, colleges, etc. 
• Screening resumes/applications for positions, participating in phone screens, and providing updates to the talent acquisition team.
• Supporting iCIMS (ATS) and talent acquisition reporting, processes and compliance.
• Partnering with the team to develop and implement strategies that ensure an efficient and time-sensitive approach to hiring.
• Supporting the team in responding to questions from stores regarding iCIMS (ATS) and hiring.
• Other special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For:
Ideal candidates will have:

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and good academic standing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Initiative and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to work 16-20 hours/week in a hybrid work environment. Flexible to work with school schedules as needed.
