Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or above AND three years of experience in employee benefits administration.
- Professional designations related to Benefits Administration a plus.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Possess a valid CA driver's license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels).
- Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to patients and staff.
- Must be able to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents.
- Must have high manual dexterity.
- Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn.
The pay range for this non-exempt position starts at $27.95 an hour. Our salaries are dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilites:
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits enrollment system.
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
- Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Administer COBRA in conjunction with the Third Party Administrator.
- Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements.
- Compile information during renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company. Track utilization.
- Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits.
- Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
- Complete all reporting requirements for the benefits program.
- Make recommendations to CEO regarding changes and updates to the benefit program.
- Ensure the benefits program is competitive in the marketplace.
- Other duties as assigned.
