Due to a recent promotion, we are hiring our next Sod & Landscape Store Operator to run our store location. 

Job Summary

●      Competitive compensation: $19 - $22/hour, plus overtime

●      Schedule: Mon–Fri 7:45am–4:45pm, Sat 7:45am–12:15pm

Job Duties

●      Greet and help walk-in customers - recommend the right sod and turf products.

●      Serve our wholesale accounts (landscapers, contractors) and grow those relationships.

●      Answer calls, quote pricing, and turn questions into orders.

●      Enter orders accurately and confirm product availability with the team.

●      Load sod and product into customer and contractor vehicles; combination of hand loading and machine loading.  Operate the forklift to offload deliveries, move and stage product (we train on-site).

●      Keep the store and yard clean, organized, and professional.  A place customers are glad to visit and keep yard logistics flowing smoothly.

●      Handle basic equipment upkeep & maintenance and coordinate outside vendors for store facilities and infrastructure.

Job Qualifications

●      Customer-facing experience - counter sales, inside sales, retail, or trade/wholesale service.

●      Experience with using POS and Microsoft Office software.

●      Willing to do physical work and get dirty - counter, yard, and loading (machine and hand) all year round. Capable of lifting 50lbs on a regular basis throughout the day.

●      Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional and confident phone presence, while remaining efficient.

●      Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

●      Must be available to work half day every Saturday.

●      Comfortable selling and quoting; able to turn a question into an order.

●      Takes ownership - keeps the operation clean, organized, and running right.

●      Dependable, team-oriented, and genuinely helpful - the kind of person customers ask for by name.

●      Reliable transportation to Bradenton, FL 34212.

Bonus Points

Experience in landscape supply, building materials, nursery/garden center, or sod/turf · experience serving contractor accounts · Loader and forklift experience · vendor or facility coordination · bilingual English/Spanish.
