What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Planner position at HRC?
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of planning documents including technical reports, studies and plans
- Preparation of grant applications for various clients and project types
- Assistance with public engagement strategies and activities on a variety of client projects
- Assistance with graphics and report preparation
- Maintaining a close relationship with the client throughout project development and continuing client contact after project is completed
- Work with various staff members on projects
- Familiarity with completing projects within developed project scope and available resources
- Prepare meeting materials for proposals, presentations and planning group initiatives
Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
- Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment as well as function independently
- Ability to work with various clients on dynamic projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Developing the capability to manage multiple projects to be completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Willingness to research topics, learn more and create a useful work product
- Time and Task Organization
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems
- Previous experience in planning
