Our client is looking to add an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to a busy real estate team. This position will support attorneys on a wide range of commercial real estate financing, purchase, sale, and closing matters, with a strong focus on lender-side transactions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment, is comfortable managing multiple moving pieces, and has strong experience with title, diligence, closing documents, and post-closing work.
What You’ll Do
The paralegal will assist with all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including pre-closing due diligence, document preparation, closing coordination, and post-closing follow-up
.Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing deeds, loan documents, closing statements, and related transaction documents
- Coordinating closing logistics and helping keep transactions moving toward deadline
- Tracking key dates, deliverables, and outstanding items
- Ordering and reviewing title reports, diligence searches, municipal lien certificates, plot plans, zoning materials, and related documentation
- Gathering corporate records and good standing information from Secretary of State offices
- Communicating with tax collectors, assessors, lenders, title companies, municipalities, and other parties to obtain required information
- Searching Registry of Deeds records and title company platforms for recorded documents, title policies, and related materials
- Assisting with title review, title policy preparation, endorsements, and corrective title matters
- Handling UCC filings and related searches
- Performing construction title rundowns
- Following up on missing discharges, assignments, and other title curative items
- Preparing closing binders and assisting with post-closing deliverables
- Supporting monthly billing and other administrative tasks related to active real estate matter
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate MUST have hands-on commercial real estate experience and be comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
Qualifications include:
- At least 2 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm or legal department
- Experience with commercial real estate closings, financing transactions, title work, and loan documentation
- Familiarity with title examinations, title policies, recorded documents, UCC filings, and post-closing procedures
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, responsive approach with clients, attorneys, lenders, municipalities, and other outside parties
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
