Culp Home Fashions - Cost Support Specialist will work cross-functionally with our design, sales and marketing, and accounting departments to ensure we remain competitive through accuracy in our product costing and will play a key part in ensuring our items are properly setup for success. We are looking for a self-starter who will prioritize activity, identify opportunities, and work with a great team to drive accurate costing in all our products. This position builds a strong foundation for a career in cost accounting and financial analysis.
Position Summary: The Cost Support Specialist will develop and maintain a strong understanding of CHF’s business, products, and manufacturing processes. The role will maintain ownership of SKU setup from specification costing, engineering/BOM setup through final SKU setup in the item master. As a part of this process the Cost Support Specialist will look for areas of continuous improvement and develop tools to improve efficiencies for reporting, systems, and other processes. If necessary, will work with other cross-functional teams (i.e., Information Systems, operations) for multi-purpose improvements.
Position responsibilities and essential functions:
- SKU Setups
- Input costing information into AS400 (BOM, construction specs)
- Clone information from AS400 into SalesForce
- Run cost sheets to ensure proper setup and costing and identify any costing irregularities
- Change Management
- Update AS400 and SalesForce with BOM changes
- Send revised spec sheets to cross-functional teams
- Run before/after cost sheets and report impact of changes on cost and margin to Accounting and VP of Sales
- Ad Hoc Reporting and Projects
- Gather required data or documents for various analyses or projects as needed
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities

Essential skills and experience:
- 2-to-4-year college degree in accounting/finance/business preferred
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of duties

- Ability to work with and summarize data
- Openness to learn and take on new responsibilities
