Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer day-to-day human resources operations and provide support to employees and managers.
- Support the recruitment process: post job openings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and onboard new hires.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee questions.
- Maintain employee data and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, escalating issues when needed.
- Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage employment-based sponsorship processes (e.g., H-1B, OPT) and ensure ongoing compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an HR role.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, including state-specific regulations in Kansas and Missouri.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience with information technology tools or systems is a plus.
