Medical Device Manufacturer (<$100M) | Subsidiary of Global Healthcare Company
Hands-on Accounting Manager responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, monthly close, and financial reporting. This role leads a team of three (AR, AP, GL) and operates within a plant-based manufacturing environment.
Primary requirement: Deep expertise in fixed assets accounting in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full lifecycle of fixed assets (capitalization, depreciation, disposals, reconciliations, physical inventory)
- Lead daily accounting operations including revenue recognition, reserves, OPEX/CAPEX, intercompany, and cash management
- Drive timely 5-day month-end close and prepare financial statements
- Perform variance analysis and partner with cost center leaders on accruals and expense review
- Lead external/internal audits and ensure GAAP compliance
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
- Support budgeting and forecasting (OPEX, CAPEX, financials)
- Lead accounting role in ERP implementation and system improvements
- Supervise and develop 3 accounting staff
Qualifications
- 8 years progressive accounting experience; 3 years leading a small team
- Strong fixed assets accounting required (manufacturing environment)
- Experience in manufacturing or corporate accounting within a manufacturer
- ERP experience required; CPA preferred
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, strong analytical skills
