Includes weekends.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisorMaintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programsHousecleaning – keeping work area clean, organized, and cleared of trashResponsible for assisting loading and unloading at warehouseConduct pre-and post -trip inspections of trailerParticipate in shift change briefPerform all duties of a selector/shipperOther duties as assigned by supervisorPerforms one of the following two tasks:Local vehicle operations involving position and moving trucks and trailers on and between warehousing facilities.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, andSufficient knowledge of IT and BPCS operations, responsibilities, workflow processes, and procedures to resolve inquiriesJob Qualifications:Excellent driving skills, hand/foot-eye coordination, and manual dexterityGood record keeping / clerical skillsGood far-visual differentiation and depth perceptionGood basic math and reading skillsGood oral communication and human relations skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentSome experience or training as a forklift operatorPrior experience in the manufacturing industry is desirableWorking Conditions:Regularly required to drive various company owned or operated passenger and commercial vehicles.
