Bilingual Community Navigator II
This part-time position is grant-funded; continued employment is based on available funding. The Bilingual Community Navigator II is a community leader who educates the community on immigration-related topics and available resources, attends and conducts outreach events, accompanies clients to necessary services, and develops skills and knowledge around community engagement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct outreach to Spanish-speaking families for community resources and support.
- Participation in community events as an agency/ program representative.
- Maintains written records of client interactions within the agency database. Maintains records and statistics as required by the agency and other funding sources and makes suggestions for revision and review.
- Supports the Puentes team in meeting goals as stated in the grant/ program plan.
- Attends trainings as identified by the agency and/or funder.
- Attends staffing and meetings as needed.
- Conducts education workshops on immigration-related topics
- Accompanies individuals to requested services in alignment with grant deliverables
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- A High School diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- The personal characteristics and experiential background that equip the Bilingual Community Navigator with skills to actively engage the Spanish-speaking community.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be bilingual (Spanish & English).
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must possess and maintain proof of automobile insurance
- Must be able to drive independently.
- Ability to receive a DCFS/CANTS Clearance
