Pre-Production Clerk (6 Month Temporary Assignment)

Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:30PM

Pay: $18.00 an hour

Primary Duties

• Receives incoming frames, tracings, tint samples, etc. electronically and routes them accordingly

• Verify information provided by account and edit/correct if necessary and in accordance with appropriate guidelines

• Maintain neatness of workstation

• Use a computer to log frames to applicable trays/orders

• Receive incoming deliveries

Secondary Duties

• Assist Tracers when necessary

• Cross-train and help in other areas of the department as needed and as directed by Supervisor

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

• One-year certification from college/technical school OR two years directly related maintenance experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

• Optical experience in tracing, blocking, edging and final inspecting a plus but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods

• Occasionally required to stop, kneel, crouch or crawl

• Frequent hand manipulation, reach with hands and arms and tactile operations

• Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds on occasion

• Occasionally required to use stools or ladders to reach high shelving

• Close vision abilities and capacity to adjust focus

Safety Requirements

• Understanding of workplace safety programs

• Wear required PPE (closed-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, long sleeved shirts)

• Safe tool handling practices

• Moderate to loud noise work environment with moving machinery
