Primary Duties
- Prioritizes insurance work based on start date and time and credit work based on returned dates while following all standard operating procedures.
- Reviews returned orders according to date and determines the amount of credit that will be issued.
- Applies redo, warranty, and lab error codes according to the reason for credit.
- Processes coupons that are requested on orders from the doctor and gets written coupons from sales representatives.
- Communicates with the Customer Service Department and/or personnel to solve rebills and credit issues.
- Edits orders from Eyefinity for missing information, special coding, etc.
- Must be knowledgeable of additional information when appropriate, including: company billing policy, warranty and redo policy, and company computer system.
- Contact accounts with any necessary changes and send jobs to designated areas.
- Works redo/warranty buckets
- Reconciles the VSP, VBD, and VCP end-of-month statements.
- Maintain the neatness of the workstation
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years in the optical industry
- Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to multitask between different programs.
- DVI entry required
- Basic math skills
- Basic optical knowledge and understanding of optical terms.
- The ability to communicate openly with others and work as a team.
- Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed.
- Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to understand and implement work instructions.
- Must be able to understand basic job work tickets.
- The ability to do simple/basic math
- Work without supervision
- Problem-solving skills
- Able to memorize large amounts of data accurately
- Basic computer skills with the ability to multitask between different programs
- Closed-toe shoe required with heel support
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment may require P.P.E.
- Safety glasses and long-sleeve shirts may be required where needed.
