Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ situations, including social, emotional, and environmental factors.
- Develop individualized care plans that address immediate needs and long-term goals related to child welfare, addiction recovery, or housing stability.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management support to clients experiencing urgent or severe challenges.
- Offer counseling services utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and behavioral health strategies to facilitate positive change.
- Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to coordinate resources such as Section 8 housing, Medicare assistance, or workforce development programs.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns, fostering professional growth and ensuring quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and case files in compliance with organizational policies.
- Advocate for clients’ rights and needs within the social services system while promoting ethical practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in social work or case management roles, with demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention and behavioral health.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques and child welfare procedures.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs, Medicare policies, and workforce development initiatives.
- Strong skills in crisis management, behavioral health assessment, and motivational interviewing.
- Supervising experience is desirable for leadership roles within the team.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
