We’re hiring a recruiter to help build our Northern California contract finance and accounting business.

This is a recruiting-led role working alongside two business development partners. They bring in the clients and the jobs. Your job is to find the right people, move quickly, get them placed, and keep building a strong contractor network.

We care more about ability, commercial instincts and how you operate than how many years you’ve been doing the job. If you’re good, we’ll back you early.

The role

You’ll own the recruiting side of a contract and interim finance and accounting desk.

That means:

• Sourcing and qualifying finance and accounting contractors, from Staff Accountants through Controllers and FP&A leaders
• Taking live job orders and turning them into strong shortlists quickly
• Managing candidates through the full process, including screening, presentation, rates, offers and close
• Staying close to contractors once they’re on assignment, helping drive extensions and redeployments
• Building a proper bench of proven talent across the Bay Area
• Keeping your pipeline and CRM clean and current. The desk runs on good data

The pace matters. Contract roles can open and close quickly, so you need to be comfortable making decisions, getting on the phone and moving.

You’ll probably do well here if you:

• Read people and situations quickly
• Are strong on the phone and credible with finance professionals
• Like pace and don’t need everything perfectly lined up before acting
• Are organized and disciplined with process
• Care about results and like being rewarded for them
• Take ownership rather than waiting for work to come to you

Contract staffing experience is helpful. Finance and accounting knowledge is also useful. Neither is an absolute requirement if you’re coming from another commercial recruiting background and can show the right aptitude and drive.

You’ll need to be within comfortable commuting distance of the Peninsula or South Bay.
