What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Financial Controller position at Hoxton Circle?
Our client, a development and property management firm, is in search of an Assistant Controller to support their growing team. In this newly created role, you’ll oversee day-to-day accounting operations, prepare and support key financial activities – from variance and cash-flow reporting to budgeting, forecasting, and audits – and partner with leasing/property teams to improve processes, implement technology enhancements, and proactively resolve transaction or reporting issues. You’ll also operate in a leadership capacity while managing one direct report.
Applicant must be comfortable operating 5 days a week onsite from their office in Queens, NY.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of accounting experience within real estate or property management
- Deep knowledge of affordable housing programs
- Proficiency in Yardi
