Howell Chase is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who knows the trade and can handle a service call from diagnosis through solution.
If you're already running service calls, troubleshooting difficult systems, communicating with homeowners, and making quality repairs, we want to talk to you.
This Isn't an Entry-Level HVAC Position
We're specifically looking for a technician with 5 years of hands-on HVAC service experience.
You should be comfortable walking into a home, diagnosing the system, determining the actual problem, explaining your findings to the homeowner, and getting the job done right.
What You'll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigerant issues
- Perform HVAC repairs accurately and efficiently
- Complete thorough system inspections
- Explain findings and repair options clearly to homeowners
- Identify legitimate opportunities to improve comfort, efficiency, and system reliability
- Document service calls and recommendations accurately
- Maintain an organized and properly stocked service vehicle
- Communicate with dispatch and management throughout the day
- Deliver the level of workmanship and customer service you'd expect in your own home
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of HVAC service technician experience — REQUIRED
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Residential HVAC service and repair experience
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of refrigerant systems and airflow
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Dependability and accountability
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
EPA Certification strongly preferred.
ServiceTitan experience is a plus, but we can teach software. We're much more interested in finding someone who knows HVAC.
