About the Role
We're looking for a Growth & Sales Representative to own our outbound pipeline and business development activity. This is a front-line role — you're the first point of contact for prospective clients, the person building relationships in the community, and the bridge between the market and our founder.
You won't be closing deals. Our founder handles proposals and contracts. Your job is to find the right people, start the right conversations, and get qualified prospects on a discovery call. If you're wired for relationships, hustle, and ownership — this role has real upside.
What You'll Be Responsible For
• Outbound prospecting — identifying and reaching out daily to local and regional businesses via phone, email, and social media
• Following up on all inbound leads within 24 hours
• Managing a full sales pipeline inside our CRM — every lead logged, every stage updated
• Booking qualified discovery calls directly onto the founder's calendar
• Activating referrals from our existing client base
• Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with complementary businesses — marketing agencies, web designers, business coaches
• Attending local networking events and representing Howdy Media professionally in the community
• Following up with Brand Builders Podcast guests post-episode to explore partnership opportunities
What We're Looking For
• Strong communicator across every channel — phone, email, DM, in person
• Self-directed and organized — capable of managing 20–30 active conversations simultaneously without dropping the ball
• CRM disciplined — you log everything, same day, no exceptions
• Relational by nature — you understand that in a market like Abilene, trust is the product
• Prior sales or business development experience preferred, but not required
• Existing relationships in the Abilene business community is a significant advantage
Compensation & Structure
• 1099 Independent Contractor
• 100% commission to start — 10–12% of contract value on every deal sourced
• Recurring commission — you earn every month a client you brought in stays active
• Realistic earning range: $1,500–$7,500/month for a rep actively building their pipeline
• 90-day performance review — consistent performers open the conversation for a base salary reduced commission structure
