What we expect from you
Responsibilities (please note this is not an exhaustive list):
- Perform or assist in performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brakes, tire rotations, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations, and headlight/taillight installations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
- Assist in inspecting vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emissions and safety.
- Conduct repairs and take vehicles for test drives (or accompany Journeymen technicians) to verify soundness.
- Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records.
- Attend and participate in company-provided, company-sponsored, and manufacturer trainings; work to achieve and maintain Land Rover Level 2 and higher certification
- Utilize MyKaarma (multi-point inspection software)
- Work to maintain acceptable CSI scores by keeping a customer-centric attitude towards the work you do
- Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must have a valid IL driver's license
- Must be willing to submit for and pass a background check and drug screen (marijuana results do not affect our hiring decisions)
- Land Rover brand technical experience is a plus, but not required
- 1 years of Automotive Service Technician experience in a dealership shop environment
- Willingness to participate in in-house training
- Ability to operate or learn to operate auto repair tool
