What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at Howard Memorial Hospital?
Howard Memorial is looking for a Maintenance Tech.
This is a full-time, hourly, with benefits position.
All work and related duties are to be performed in compliance with local and state codes.
Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains equipment such as boilers, air compressors, generators, and refrigeration equipment
- Records data (temperature, hours of operation, fuel consumption, water levels, chemicals, water titration, etc), reading dials, gauges, and manuals
- Performs preventative maintenance of equipment, as required, using hand and power tools and conducting periodic safety inspections
- Performs quarterly Fire Drills and Active Shooter Drills for 3-11 shift
- Makes rounds (rooftop, out buildings) repairs light bulbs, ceiling tiles, other issues and records data
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years vocational school and/or similar trade
- Other vocational or similar trade licensures preferred
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to read written instructions and labels
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
