What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Tax Analyst position at Howard Energy Partners?
Job Summary:
Supports the day-to-day duties of the property tax department. Primary duties include data gathering, filing of property tax returns, entering assessed values, and payment of tax bills utilizing our Property Tax Management System (PTMS).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Gather and review for accuracy all necessary data for filing annual property tax returns.
- Enter / import data into PTMS and prepare property tax returns for review.
- Input assessed values and tax bills into PTMS for review and payment.
- Provide support for assessment / audit litigation.
- Help with due diligence requests and providing property tax estimates.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills - MS Excel; experience with SAP (beneficial) and PTMS (beneficial).
- Must be able to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
- Must be organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task, with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Must be able to communicate professionally and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma.
- 2 years of related experience.
Physical Demands and Hazards for Office Employees:
This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent computer use, occasional lifting of office supplies, and may involve travel.
