The Engineering and Technology Department is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated adjunct instructors to daytime and evening courses, including lecture and lab instruction. Classes are offered in a variety of formats, including face-to-face, fully online, and hybrid modes of instruction. Weekday, evening, and Saturday teaching opportunities are available.

The Engineering and Technology department is currently seeking adjunct faculty to teach in the following disciplines:

* Additive Manufacturing

* 3-D Scanning and Printing

* Biomedical Equipment Technology (BMET)

* Building Information Modeling (BIM)

* Computer-Aided Design

* Construction Management

* Construction Surveying

* Electronics

* Engineering

* Engineering Technology

* Gaming & Simulation Design

Candidates should be prepared to engage modern learners through effective and rigorous instruction that utilizes appropriate technology and employs teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning styles. Adjunct faculty are expected to:

Minimum Education Required: Master's degree in related field for lecture instruction; Bachelor's degree in related field for lab instruction.

Other Knowledge Required: Prior teaching experience is preferred.

All employees must comply with the college's COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements as a condition of employment.

HCC is interested in all qualified applicants who are eligible to work in the United States. However, HCC will generally not sponsor applicants for work visas. Due to HCC policy, only employees living in states contiguous to Maryland are eligible for work at HCC and include Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC, Pennsylvania. Candidates must live in the commutable area or willing to relocate at their own expense if offered the position because HCC does not offer relocation benefits.
