Howard Center is seeking a kind, respectful, and outgoing Shared Living Provider for a unique and exciting opportunity supporting a young adult male in his new home. The ideal candidate has a positive can-do attitude, enjoys an active and healthy lifestyle, is organized and helpful, and is looking for a long-term commitment. The young adult has a wide variety of interests including (but not limited to season outdoor activities, antiquing, listening to music and playing instruments, history, holidays reading books, libraries and travel. He thrives in a calm and predictable setting, making someone with a calm and optimistic nature an excellent fit. The role involves providing direct, ongoing support including development of independent living skills, assisting with supports needed to maintain the individual's emotional health, timely communication with team members, and providing transportation to activities and appointments. This is a contracted position with no associated benefits. Home is currently being constructed but will include a private bedroom, bathroom and living area; common spaces such as laundry, kitchen, and dining room will be shared. Offering a generous annual stipend of $60,000/year and a respite budget.
