Howard Building Maintenance is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of a well-established medical complex in the Caldwell area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily building walkthroughs to inspect and report on interior and exterior conditions
- Conduct preventative maintenance and light repair work across the facility
- Monitor and maintain lighting (interior and exterior), safety signage, and HVAC temperature control
- Ensure restrooms and common areas are clean, stocked, and in working order
- Check for cleanliness and proper function of stairwells, walkways, exits, and parking areas
- Ensure proper operation of mechanical systems such as boilers, pumps, and fire alarm panels
- Monitor grounds for trash, debris, and landscape maintenance needs
- Inspect and maintain equipment rooms, ensuring clearances are met and systems are running
- Oversee elevator cleanliness and condition
- Address and resolve maintenance concerns in a timely manner

- Strong observational and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking building grounds, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Comfortable using a computer to log reports, track tasks, and communicate
- Willing and able to learn new software tools as part of daily routine
- Strong communication and customer service mindset
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to quality work
