About the Role
The Residential HVAC Service Manager oversees daily operations of our residential service department. This position leads a team of skilled technicians, supports field troubleshooting, manages workflow, and ensures high-quality service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate residential HVAC service technicians
- Manage daily schedules, dispatching, and workflow to ensure timely service
- Assist technicians with troubleshooting and technical support
- Resolve escalated service issues with professionalism and sound judgment
- Track performance metrics and coach team members to reach goals
- Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with office staff, install teams, and sales to ensure smooth communication
- Oversee warranty claims, billing accuracy, and service documentation
- Support ongoing training to ensure alignment with industry best practices
Compensation
- $75,000 - $85,000 per year (Based on experience)
What You Bring
- 5 years of residential HVAC service experience (or comparable industry experience)
- Hands-on field experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Excellent communication and people skills - able to coach and inspire
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Professional, customer-focused mindset
- Experience with service management software (FieldEdge, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, etc.)
