Contract Duration

• Coaching contracts last for one school year, at which time they may be renewed by the building principal and/or athletic director.
• Coaches are expected to perform their duties and schedule practices and contests in accordance with the best interests of the student-athletes and guidelines from relevant governing bodies.

Compensation

Supplemental contracts provide a percentage increase to the employee's base salary. Contact the building principal or athletic director for specific percentages.

Minimum Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Must pass a background check

Preferred

• Be a current certified teacher in good standing in the HCSD
• Possess relevant experience in the sport

Other Requirements

• Be able to learn and follow all applicable policies from all relevant governing bodies
• Effectively and ethically liaise between the school district and students and guardians
• Establish and maintain high standards for academic achievement, attendance, and behavior for student-athletes
• Effectively coach and manage the team from a logistical, scheduling, and strategic perspective
