Consider joining our team as a Survey intern! A Survey Intern with HEI will be involved with practical on-the-job projects, spending the majority of time working with outdoor surveying and/or construction phase activities.
Job Description
As a Survey intern, responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
- Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station.
- Mark points of measurement with elevation, station number, or other identifying mark.
- Travel with survey crew to different civil engineering project sites around town.
- Place stakes at designated points and drive them into ground at specified elevation.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a two-year civil survey technician program, Civil Engineering program or related field.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD are preferred.
- Able to work extended periods of time in outdoor conditions.
- Above average math and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and availability for overnight travel.
