Our current campaign focuses on helping provide mental health services and school support resources for children across the Houston area.
We're hiring a full-time Fundraising Representative to represent nonprofit partners at community events, outreach initiatives, and fundraising campaigns throughout Houston. As a Fundraising Representative, you'll engage directly with community members, share each organization's mission, and help generate support through meaningful conversations and relationship-building.
Responsibilities of the Fundraising Representative
- Represent nonprofit partners professionally at community events, outreach initiatives, and fundraising campaigns throughout Houston.
- Engage community members in meaningful conversations about mental health initiatives, school support programs, and opportunities to make an impact.
- Use relationship-focused fundraising and marketing techniques to educate supporters and encourage charitable contributions.
- Participate in ongoing Fundraising Representative training focused on communication, fundraising, leadership, and nonprofit marketing.
- Answer questions while creating positive experiences that reflect each nonprofit's mission and marketing message.
- Support daily fundraising goals by combining strong communication skills with effective community marketing strategies.
- Track outreach activity, supporter interactions, fundraising progress, and marketing campaign results accurately.
- Collaborate with fellow Fundraising Representative team members to execute outreach events and community marketing initiatives.
Qualifications of the Fundraising Representative
- Background in retail, restaurants, hospitality, outreach, customer service, or other people-focused roles is helpful but not required.
- Comfortable speaking with community members throughout the day in face-to-face environments.
- Positive attitude in fast-paced, performance-driven fundraising and marketing environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and able to manage multiple conversations and priorities.
