We value teamwork, accountability, and leadership. We are seeking an experienced and driven Leasing Manager to lead and develop our leasing team.
Position Summary
The Leasing Manager oversees all leasing operations, manages a team of 10-15 leasing agents, and is responsible for hiring, training, and performance management, and meeting occupancy goals. The role requires a strong leader with hands-on leasing experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create structure, motivate agents, and drive results.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Oversee and manage a team of 10-15 agents.
- Handle all hiring, onboarding, and termination decisions.
- Train new agents on policies, procedures, sales techniques, and systems.
- Conduct ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and agent support.
- Create daily structure, set expectations, and manage accountability.
- Adjust and balance portfolio sizes to optimize agent performance.
Leasing Operations
- Set leasing goals, track progress, and implement strategies to increase occupancy.
- Ensure consistent follow-up, lead management, and customer service across the team.
- Monitor listing quality, property presentation, and agent compliance.
- Review applications and leasing files, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve leasing challenges, bottlenecks, or performance gaps.
Training & Development
- Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing agents.
- Provide ongoing coaching in sales, communication , system use, and fair housing.
- Set performance standards and create improvement plans when needed.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Work closely with property management and leadership teams and goals and metrics.
- Provide weekly leasing performance reports and recommendations.
- Adjust staffing levels, portfolios, and resource allocation based on demand.
Qualifications
Active MN Real Estate Salesperson License (required)
Must have experience in leasing management, property management, or multi-agent leadership.
Proven experience leading a team of leasing, sales, or customer service staff.
Strong understanding of leasing procedures, fair housing laws, and rental markets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven.
Ability to coach, motivate, and hold agents accountable to performance goals.
Comfortable with property management and CRM systems.
