As a Program Representative with Housing Assistance of Cape Cod, you’ll be the go-to expert for keeping participants in stable housing. From verifying incomes and calculating rents to managing certifications and supporting tenants and landlords, you’ll play a key role in making sure our Leased Housing programs thrive. This position is ideal for a detailed problem-solver with a compassionate approach and a commitment to improving lives.
Essential Functions
- Policy Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on state and federal housing regulations and HAC policies to ensure compliance.
- Participant Support: Guide clients through all necessary procedures to maintain their housing program participation.
- Ongoing Transaction Management: Handle recertifications, changes in family status, income adjustments, tenant payments, and program eligibility accurately according to federal guidelines.
- Data Management: Keep accurate records, report data per HUD standards, and ensure compliance with EOHLC benchmarks.
- Collaboration: Work with inspectors for timely property inspections, investigate program violations, and manage voucher terminations as needed.
- Encourage participation in programs like Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS).
- Maintain client files, adhere to EOHLC verification standards, and collaborate with internal and external partners to support housing goals.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and workshops to remain updated and effective in your role.

- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication, with sensitivity to client confidentiality
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and a detail-oriented approach
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a friendly, compassionate demeanor
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Experience with government program administration, banking, or assisting individuals in distress
