Job Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000

About the Role

Houseplant is looking for a stellar Senior Ecommerce Manager to lead email, SMS, and Shopify for our Home & Beverage business. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role for someone who wants to build and scale programs in a fast-moving, early-stage environment. We're hiring quickly and would love for the right person to start within two weeks of receiving an offer.

About Houseplant

Houseplant was founded in 2019 by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Michael Mohr, launching first in Canada before expanding to the U.S. in 2021. The brand started at the intersection of cannabis and home goods — pairing a curated line of cannabis strains with design-forward home accessories like ceramics, ashtrays, and record players (the name "Houseplant" nods to both sides: house and plant). In 2024, Houseplant expanded into THC-infused beverages, bringing that same design-led, quality-first approach to a new category. This role sits within the Home & Beverage team, helping lead the next chapter of growth.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in e-commerce and DTC marketing, ideally at a high-growth or early-stage brand
• Hands-on Shopify experience – you’ll co-manage day-to-day operations
• Track record of running CRO and A/B tests to improve conversion
• Hands-on experience managing Klayvio or similar CRM with a strong background of optimizing and growing owned audience channels
• Broad digital marketing experience across paid, organic, and lifecycle channels
• Experience working with paid agencies 
• Experience building and optimizing the customer lifecycle to drive retention and LTV
• Comfortable with data and analytics pulling insights and reporting on performance
• Working knowledge of SEO best practices
• Familiarity with GEO (generative engine optimization) and how AI search is changing discovery
• Hands-on experience with Okendo, Skio Subscriptions, Monday.com, Microsoft Clarity and Triple Whale
• Curiosity around AI, innovation, and the future of e-commerce is a strong plus

What You'll Own

• Own CRM strategy and execution for Houseplant Home & Beverage email and SMS, end to end
• Build and continuously optimize lifecycle flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back and more)
• Report on CRM performance metrics including but not limited to channel revenue, open rate, CTR, CTOR, unsubscribe rate and revenue per email
• Own the A/B testing roadmap for email including subject lines, send times, segmentation and content
• Building and managing our email & SMS calendar to align with overarching campaign & promotional calendar
• Day-to-day Shopify operations (launching products & promotions, setting up discounts, editing the theme, managing the tech stack, site QA, reporting bugs to Developer etc)
• Report on performance metrics including but not limited to conversion rate, abandon cart rate, AOV, LTV, CAC, revenue per session, and repeat purchase rate 
• Lead briefing across all digital channels via Monday.com for email, SMS, paid, organic social and web
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, Digital Art Director & VP of Ecommerce & Digital Marketing on briefing and creative approvals
• Work closely with the VP of Ecommerce & Digital Marketing to execute omni-channel planning for brand campaigns, product launches, promotions and other big moments
