Live-In Companion (with Optional Personal Assistant Role) – Private Gentleman | Mesa, AZ

**This is not currently a relocation position, client prefers someone already local to Mesa, AZ! If relocation is needed, candidate would need to do it on their own.

A private gentleman in Mesa, AZ is seeking a calm, kind, and dependable Live-In Companion to provide a consistent and reassuring overnight presence in the home. This role is ideal for someone who values a peaceful environment. There is also an option for you to contribute as a Part-Time Personal Assistant during the day, though that is not required. 

Companion Responsibilities (Evenings):

• Be a steady, respectful presence in the home overnight

• Support the principal’s peace of mind as he navigates sleep anxiety

• No medical or hands-on caregiving required

• Simply reside in the home overnight as a calming and reassuring companion. No overnight duties are expected or required.

Optional Daytime Responsibilities (as a Part-Time Personal Assistant): If the candidate is open to daytime support, the following tasks may be included:

• Manage household mail, deliveries, and returns

• Order groceries, takeout, and household/office supplies

• Ensure the home is stocked with essentials

• Light tidying and laundry, as needed.

• Trash and recycling management (curb duty twice weekly)

• Pick up prescriptions and accompany to doctor’s appointments

• Research and schedule appointments with top-rated doctors

• Coordinate service providers and make administrative calls

• Track calendar events and assist with bill management

• Communicate with an overseeing assistant for updates and reminders

• Troubleshoot basic tech issues and coordinate with IT

• Organize household areas and maintain essential records

• Oversee housekeeper and handyman as needed

Schedule:

• Evenings: Live-in overnight companion (required)

• Daytime: Optional part-time hours for personal assistant duties

Compensation:

• Overnight compensation to be determined based on experience.

• Hourly rate for daytime work: $30–$40/hour DOE; negotiable for the right candidate

The live-in assistant would act as a calm and consistent overnight presence in the home, offering peace of mind as a companion to someone managing sleep anxiety. No caregiving tasks (e.g., medication or physical assistance) are required—your role would be to sleep in the home and serve as the personal assistant during the day (if desired). No duties are required overnight.

Schedule: Stay in the home for 5 nights/week or 7 nights/week. Would have the days off unless you opted to help him with the Personal Assistant duties during the day with flexibility based on needs. Hours TBD once the right match is found. Guaranteed at least 25 hours per week for the PA role. Hours would be separate for the sleeping overnight.

Compensation: $30–$40/hour for the PA role, DOE; negotiable for the right candidate. Separate pay for the overnight hours when sleeping. No duties are required overnight.

About the Principal

Adults: 1
Dogs: The principal may want to get a dog down the road so someone who loves dogs is a plus!
Current Staff: A remote Personal Assistant and Housekeeper who comes weekly
Home SQFT: Approx. 3,000 Sq. Ft.

Position Compensation
