What You Bring to the Table
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred
- A strong work ethic and ability to move efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional appearance
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Willingness to learn kitchen skills and grow within the culinary team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Your Role in the Experience
- Operate the dish machine and maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout every shift
- Ensure all kitchenware, equipment, and surfaces meet House of Umami's cleanliness standards
- Assist kitchen colleagues with prep duties when needed
- Complete opening and closing duties including cleaning equipment, mopping, and restocking
- Adhere to all kitchen standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Bring a positive, team-first attitude to every shift and every task
