House of Rental is a full-service Party, Event, Tool & Equipment Rental company in Skokie, IL. Established in 1969, we proudly serve Chicago and the northern suburbs.
We are seeking an Event Driver / Laborer to join our Tent & Event Team. This is a hands-on position that combines professional box truck driving with event installation and labor responsibilities. If you enjoy physical work, being outdoors, and working as part of a team to create successful events, this is a rewarding opportunity.
Delivery areas include: Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka, Evanston, Morton Grove, Glenview, Northbrook, Chicago, Highland Park, Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights, Park Ridge, and surrounding suburbs.

Key Responsibilities
Safely drive House of Rental’s box trucks (non-CDL) to and from install sites
Load and unload tents, tables, chairs, dance floors, and other event rental equipment
Pull and stage equipment for daily deliveries
Assist in the construction, installation, and dismantling of tents and event equipment
Work in crews of 2–9 team members depending on job size
Provide friendly, professional customer service at homes and businesses
Process cash, check, and credit card payments when required
Assist with warehouse duties including organizing, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining rental equipment to ready-to-rent standards
Count and verify inventory before leaving and upon return
Maintain clean, organized trucks and work areas
Early mornings and late nights during busy season May through October
This is a physically demanding position requiring lifting, carrying, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50–70 lbs regularly.
Requirements
Minimum Two (2) years box truck driving experience
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to safely operate a box truck (non-CDL)
Ability to lift 50–70 lbs consistently
Must wear steel-toed boots and company uniform shirt
Must have Saturday availability
Strong teamwork and independent work skills
Takes pride in a job well done
Knowledge of construction equipment and party rental equipment is a plus
