What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Interior Designer - Luxury Residential position at House of Ferari?
About House of Ferari
House of Ferari is a luxury design build firm based in Heber City, serving the Park City and Wasatch Back markets. We are a Woman-Owned and Veteran-Owned Small Business led by two executives: Molly Ferari, Founder & CEO (Pratt Institute, NYC graduate), and Ty Harris, COO & CFO (Master's in Business, University of Cambridge, UK). Our portfolio includes high-end residential and developer-led projects across northern Utah, with an established client roster and a growing pipeline of luxury work.
About the Role
The Senior Interior Designer leads client projects from concept through construction documents, working directly with the founder and managing the technical drawing process. The role requires equal command of design narrative and construction documentation. The right candidate is fluent in floorplans, elevations, and material specification, and is comfortable directing a contract CAD team while maintaining design integrity from initial concept through final installation.
Core responsibilities:
• Conducting site measures and producing accurate floorplans, elevations, and reflected ceiling plans
• Translating client briefs into refined design concepts and material palettes
• Producing construction-ready drawing packages in coordination with our contract CAD team
• Selecting and specifying finishes, fixtures, and FF&E for luxury residential projects
• Leading client design presentations and owning the design narrative
• Building studio systems, libraries, and templates as the firm scales
You're a fit if you have:
• 5 years in residential interior design (luxury or high-end custom strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated mastery of floorplans, elevations, and site measures
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit (you do not have to be the production drafter, but you must direct the work fluently)
• A portfolio that demonstrates refined material selection, spatial intelligence, and construction-document literacy
• Genuine interest in helping shape the operational growth of an established design firm
Bonus qualifications:
• Experience with mountain-modern, transitional, or contemporary luxury aesthetics
• Familiarity with Park City / Heber / Deer Valley building standards and trades
• Experience working with developers, not just one-off clients
• Strong client-facing communication
What we offer:
• Competitive base salary and project-completion bonuses
• Flexible schedule and Paid Time Off
• Heber City studio with field work across northern Utah
• Direct collaboration with Founder Molly Ferari on every active project
• A high-performing, ambitious team
