What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Strategy Intern - Spring/Summer position at Hour Media?
Hour Media is a national multimedia news and advertising company, as well as the largest publisher of city and regional magazines in the United States. We publish Hour Detroit magazine, Atlanta magazine, Indianapolis Monthly, Houstonia, Portland Monthly, Seattle Met, Cincinnati magazine, Salt Lake magazine, Orlando Illustrated, Minnesota Monthly, Palm Beach Illustrated, and over 100 others.
We are actively pursuing a dynamic student to join us in the role of Digital Strategy Intern at our Michigan headquarters for the 2026 spring/summer season. Schedules are negotiable, but a minimum three month commitment is required. This will largely be an in-person role, requiring the individual to come to the Troy office. Interns will shadow under the Director of Digital Strategy.
In addition to digital media experience, interns can gain in-depth knowledge of market research, video production, event promotion, news coordination, and brand management from industry-leading professionals.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Intern applicants must be enrolled in school and must receive educational credit. The internship program is unpaid and focused on education and training.

Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a university or vocational tech training program.
- Ability and willingness to come in a minimum of 16-24 hours per week.
- Ability to work in-person at the Troy office during the standard work day.
