Grounds Maintenance Position – Houghton County Memorial Airport
Houghton County Memorial Airport is hiring a reliable and hardworking individual for a permanent part-time Grounds Maintenance position. This role supports the upkeep of airport grounds and facilities to ensure a safe and professional environment.
Primary Duties:
- Maintain airport grounds including sidewalks, parking areas, and entrances.
- Mow lawns, trim shrubs, edge walkways, and perform seasonal landscaping.
- Remove snow and ice from walkways and entrances using snow blowers, shovels, and salt.
- Sweep walkways, aprons, and collect debris and trash.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and facility repairs.
Cross-Training:
This position will be cross-trained in Janitorial Services to assist with indoor cleaning and sanitation duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a background check for access to restricted airport areas.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.62 per hour
