Duties
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to process hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles efficiently.
- Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, loading push carts, and managing heavy lifting tasks safely to prevent injury.
- Follow strict safety standards in production areas, adhering to safety protocols for manual handling and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Assist with materials handling by organizing linens for washing, drying, folding, and distribution throughout the hotel.
- Ensure all laundry services meet quality standards by inspecting textiles for stains or damages and applying appropriate cleaning methods.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to laundry requests from hotel staff and maintaining a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Prior experience in hotel or textile laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of linens and textiles safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in production environments.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating load capacities.
- Familiarity with garment care machine operation such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning machines is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure garments are cleaned thoroughly without damage.
