Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and perform floor care to maintain pristine surfaces
- Perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary, such as moving furniture or supplies, following proper manual handling procedures
- Restock amenities like towels, toiletries, and linens to ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning high-touch surfaces and ensuring compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with a strong understanding of hospitality standards
- Skilled in floor cleaning, industrial cleaning techniques, and custodial tasks with attention to detail
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation including vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing chemical handling duties in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and hotel emergency procedures
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods throughout shifts
